Partners and sponsor of the enterprise:
One of the main products of the Pottery Village is the Mazurian style wedding reception – tourist attraction and an idea for the newlyweds.
The Pottery Village combines entrepreneurship and promotion of local history and culture. Considering the ancient craft skills and forgotten professions it will give opportunities to employment for tens of local villages inhabitants. The project is demonstrative in nature, it shows a place and function of the past craft technologies. It also presents their profitability in modern and competitive market. We hope that it will become a specific concept for development for agricultural regions, and an example for villages inhabitants of how to earn money.
The Pottery Village is a partnership project.
The function of the NIDA Foundation was to coordinate the Project and to start the whole enterprise, encouraging local people to take part in it, making vocational training for the unemployed and helping to promote the products and services of this unusual social business in the country.
Partners in making of this enterprise were: the County Labour Office in Nidzica, the County Government Office in Nidzica, the Nidzica Local Fund, the Practical Educational Centre, the Business Service Office – Katarzyna and Piotr Wiejak, DREHABUD General Partnership in Nidzica, the Association for the Mentally Challenged near Nidzica, the Commune of Janowo and the Commune of Nidzica.
